Solutions Through Higher Education is a coalition of students, teachers, professionals and education supporters who recognize the need to invest in higher education today for a brighter tomorrow.

Now is the time for the Solutions Coalition to engage and share with our leadership the need to preserve the viability of Arizona’s university system and ensure continued access. Our universities are voluntarily adopting new, performance-based approaches to governance and management of the university system. We believe there has never been a better time for our state to reinvest in higher education.

Join us in sharing with our state representatives your support for the value of our public universities. Ask leadership to recognize the link between a well-funded university system and workforce development, and how university research supports entrepreneurial activities in the private sector.

Ensure that our voice is heard.

• Arizona’s universities have sustained some of the largest cuts of any in the nation.
• Arizona’s universities have consolidated and streamlined programs, adapted to budget changes, but additional cuts may reduce access and/or financial aid support for students.
• Access to higher education is critical for reviving our local economy, and providing long-term job growth and economic development.
• Those with a college degree currently have a lower unemployment rate, may earn more throughout their lifetime than those who do not, and can ease the state's burden of providing social welfare services.
• Arizona’s universities provide for a higher quality of life for our children and grandchildren.
• Arizona's universities are asking to be evaluated not by student headcount, but instead by the number of college degrees completed and other meaningful, performance-driven metrics.
