A coalition across Arizona has formed to pose questions to our fellow citizens: Has America had its day? Are our best days behind us?
A quiet crisis is threatening America's economic competitiveness. As a nation, we are not producing enough educated, highly skilled workers to compete in the global economy. Statistics and studies bear this out. And yet, the American public seems unaware of the severity of the situation. This crisis is especially acute in Arizona, which lags the rest of the nation in college completion and other key measures of educational performance.
Solutions Through Higher Education is a public education effort aimed at raising awareness of the critical role higher education plays in ensuring economic prosperity for our country and our citizens. Our mission is to raise the educational level of all Arizonans and help residents understand the importance of investment in education.
On May 18th, Arizonans will have the opportunity to invest in education by voting YES on Proposition 100. Investing in education is critical to build a skilled and highly paid workforce that will bring new jobs and economic recovery to our state. Help prevent devastating cuts to our classrooms.
